Stephanie’s Story

Meet Stephanie, our July client of the month. Stephanie enrolled in our Own Your Journey wellness program, hoping to establish a regular exercise schedule and meet other women focused on putting their wellness first.

In Own Your Journey, Stephanie and her fellow group members learned the importance of prioritizing their health and well-being. Setting achievable and motivating goals, eating healthy, fostering financial wellness, and regularly seeing a doctor are all ways you can “own your journey” and create a healthy foundation.

Stephanie dedicated herself to the program and worked hard to meet her goals. She came to group each week eager to learn new ways to make the healthiest choices, share her experiences, and offer encouragement to her fellow participants. Since starting Own Your Journey, Stephanie has maintained a regular work out schedule, established a family doctor, and completed an annual wellness exam! Stephanie shared her facilitators and group members helped motivate her to keep up with goals.

Our wellness coordinator, Chelsea, is proud of Stephanie’s successes ”She never hesitated to jump in to assist and encourage other group members. Stephanie has overcome a lot in her life to become the person she is today. She continues to strive for excellence, not just for herself, but for her daughters as well.”

Stephanie knows taking the first step towards wellness and attending your first session can be intimidating. She says, “don’t hesitate to go out and try new things. Work through your fears!”

We are proud of all Stephanie has done! She has successfully completed 10 weeks of groups. Stephanie will continue to receive support and access to Own Your Journey activities for the next 6 months.
